Did not have the rotors turned and the outside left pad wore out really fast. Only 30k miles. Installed new pads and rotors.
Check engine light on for some time.
Finally got around to googling p1135 error code and order Denso 234-001 for $88 based on this post. Part number on my matches OEM number below:

Hello all.
The check engine light came on my 2001 Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 SR5, V6 this weekend. I had no idea what it was related to but knew I was due for an oil change. I replaced air filter, oil filter, oil and the light went out. To double check, I stopped by AutoZone who hooked it up and got a P1135 error code. Since the light was out.. I assumed my issue was resolved. Questions:
1) Should I play it safe and swap out the Denso since the error code is still there despite the light being out?
2) Does the part number change given my Tacoma age/model or is it as Boersun listed above?
OEM Denso is 89467-35060
Replacement Denso is 234-9001
3) Anyone have a step-by-step procedure for this repair? I have a tendency to make small repairs into bigger ones and would prefer to keep this simple.
Thanks for any/all input.
